Congratulations to David Rennie of Shelton, Connecticut, the winner of the HGTV Dream Home 2016 located in Merritt Island, Florida! The HGTV Dream Home 2016 Winner was unveiled yesterday in a blog post on HGTV.com. His name was randomly selected from more than 127 million entries.
As part of the grand prize, David also won a 2016 GMC Acadia Denali, $250,000 cash prize, and a brand new boat. A grand prize valued at over $1.5 million!
This is David’s second big win in a year as he received a kidney transplant in March 2015 after being diagnosed with ESRD. HGTV host Tiffany Brooks and the HGTV production crew surprised him with the announcement at his church last week while he was celebrating the first anniversary of his successful kidney transplant.
